HI Martin,

I have not had this problem in a long time. Therefore, I failed to realize
that the admin tool is not inJaws10, 11, or 12, there is just Freedom
Scientific Video Intercept. Not ever having experienced this problem
without dealing with an admin tool, I would suggest contacting Freedom
Scientific to get their advice. Your friend might want to uninstall the
admin tool they installed & reinstall the FS Video Intercept. This is only
a guess but, did your friend update their video card & then get this
message? Hopefully someone with more knowledge than myself will jump in
with better information. Take care.
Mike

  Mike,

She installed that file anyway, and this is the message she gets when
  starting JAWS now:

  Status:
      Video Intercept is not installed.

  Primary Display Adapter:
      ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series
      ATI Technologies Inc.
      ati2dvag.dll
      6.14.10.7157

  Video Chain Information:
      ati2dvag

Would an update of the video driver help?

  Martin

  Hi Martin,

  Follow the steps below for installing the Video Intercept file correctly;

When you get the Video Intercept error after reinstalling Jaws do the
  following;
  1. Go to Freedom Scientifics website, find the FSVideoIntercept-32bit or
64bit.exe, which ever 1 is appropriate for your system. Download and save
it somewhere on your harddrive that you will be able to access it easily.
The direct download links for both 32bit and 64bit systems are below.
Click
  on your appropriate link.

ftp://ftp.freedomscientific.com/users/hj/private/WebFiles/Tools/FSVideoInter
  cept-32bit.exe

ftp://ftp.freedomscientific.com/users/hj/private/WebFiles/Tools/FSVideoInter
  cept-64bit.exe

  2. Go to Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs, press enter, and wait for
the programs list to populate / show up.
  3. Arrow down to the Freedom Scientific Admin Tool , tab to remove, press
the spacebar, and if asked if you want to remove its shared components say
  yes.
  4. Now reboot the computer.
  5. When the computer reboots and that Video Intercept error message
appears,
  exit out of the message.
  6. Now, go to where you saved the FSVideoIntercept-32bit or 64bit.exe,
highlight it, and press enter to run it. After running the Video
Intercept,
reboot the computer if prompted to do so.

Running this will reinstall the Admin Tool that you removed earlier and
everything should work fine. Hope this helps. Take care.
  Mike

Hi, A friend of mine is getting a video intercept error every time she
starts JAWS 11 (on XP). The message is something like "installation
  package
for the product Freedom Scientific Video intercept cannot be found. Try
  the
installation again using a valid copy of the installation package
    'FSVIDEOINTERCEPT.msi'."

I have had her reinstall JAWS, reinstall the video intercept from the
  Tools
menu, repair JAWS, and modify the registry per the Freedom Scientific
  site.
I found a separate video intercept install file on the FS website, but
it
was for JAWS 7. We did not try that. Maybe there is one there for JAWS
11,
but I could not find it. Any ideas?

    Martin
