I should back everything up and just reformat it then Rick? I wish I could do that but my external hd is not working at the moment... Believe me, I think I have pist a lot of people off by asking this question but trust me I have done everything Microsoft suggested but no go. Take care and appreciate the response.

Once there, open the file menu, and arrow to, send, and hit enter. 3. In the resulting sub-menu, select shortcut to desktop, and hit enter.
