Hi,
I just bought my daughter the HP 1102w laser printer, as she
just started
college. It will work wirelessly, as well as with a USB
cable, which is
included. The printer is small, light and prints fast.
Since it is a
laser, it will be much more economical to operate than a
comparable inkjet
printer.
To setup the printer on your computer, all you need do is
power on the
printer and connect the included USB cable between the
printer and a Windows
computer. The setup program will automatically load and
walk you through
the setup process. You can then configure the printer for
use with
wireless, USB or both. I have run the setup program several
times, using
both Jaws and NVDA and it worked well with both screen
readers.

One note of caution, if you want to use the printer
wirelessly with a Mac,
you will really need to do the printer setup using a Windows
computer. This
will save you many headaches trying to accomplish this task
on a Mac. Once
the wireless is setup using Windows, you place the setup CD
into the Mac to
load the driver software. Now, the Mac will recognize the
wireless printer
and work perfectly.

So far (1 week) my daughter is very pleased with the
printer.
