do you have that quick view turned on?
I have a friend and he uses WLM/7 he has the quick view on and pane view or
something it's called off.
There's a drop down list of options...that's where you change the email
client's settings.
He went through them with me on the phone, they all sounded pretty much same
as OE.
Even the accounts which he has 3, were showing in folders which he just
arrowed to the main one for his emails. He can do the first letter
navigation for email addresses fill in..

There's no nickname option so I'll try the other thing and let you know how it worked.

Thanks.

does your address contacts give you an "nickname" option?
If not, then right before the place where your email addy goes, shift tab to
highlight how you want your name to appear, then tab to the ok button?

Hi, Trish,

My name is on my contact list but when other people get an email from me, it shows my email address instead of my name.

sounds like you need to put your name in your own contact list.

Hi,

What I want is for my name to show up in the display field instead ofmy email address. How do I change this setting?

Thanks in advance.

Martina,

It is correct when you use the previous windows Live Mail version.
But I’m using the newest version of WLM, and to add contact you have only to
use:
CTRL SHIFT C
and in order to get to the contact lists you have to use:
control 3.

Hi Rosemarie!
Ctrl+shift+C to get to the contact list, then again ctrl+shift+C to add a
contact, then just fill in the fields accordingly.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] adding a contact in windows live mail

Hi, everyone,

I switched email programs so I’m now using windows live mail. How do I add a contact? I’m trying to add myself so that when I hit the first leter of my
name, windows live mail will automatically fill out my email address?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Rosemarie
