I second that, it works great; I also go to file menu/save as and save the
emails as .EML that's also supported in OE and Windows Live Mail, then they
open in the email clients; this way you can name the files as you wish and
save anywhere on an external drive independently on the system one so
nothing can get lost then if something happens with the system.

Hello Rick and all. I am currently using Outlook 2007. I have used this
method of saving emails with everything from outlook express to windows live
mail. Also windows mail and mozilla thunderbird. It has worked on all of
them.

Hi Matthew,
What E-Mail client are you using?

Hello Jerry and all. You could always go into the file menu and then to save
as. I have done this for years and keep a folder with multiple sub folders,
on my external, of emails I have collected. You could either save them as
html or text.

I have created a folder for emails from the blind computing email list. I
use Windows Mail and JAWS 11. What I was wanting to know was can I copy or
cut the emails from this folder and save them to a folder on my external
hard drive?

Many Thanks.
