HI Margaret;

My keyboard has the same 6Pack arrangement as yours. I checked it & using
keyboard help the insert is not spoken unless you use it with a another key,
like you did with, Insert + F12 for the time. When doing this Jaws reads,
Jaws key + F12 reads the time or, when pressing, Insert + up arrow, Jaws
reads, Jaws key + up arrow reads current line. The keyboard I'm currently
using is a Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard. I also use a Microsoft Comfort
Curve keyboard that has the 6Pack alignment with the rows the same as your
old keyboard & Jaws reads, or doesn't read, the mystery / Insert key the
same way as the new one. Anyway, just glad you got it figured out. Take
care.
Mike

  Jerry and All,

I had the inspiration of trying the mystery key and F12 with the key
identifier tin hopes that it would tell me that those keys gave the time and
it did. I'll need to get used to the arrangement of keys in the six pack,
but it's an insert key and that's the main thing.

  Margaret:

What you can do is use the JAWS (Insert next to the numeric keypad) key
along with the F1 key and press keys to learn where all of the "missing"
  keys are.
