While we don't get told about them, things like that submenu have what
they call dividers in them, so the first part of that submenu is the
column names, then there's a divider, and then the next section of the
submenu is there below it, etc., but anyway.

Apart from descending being relevant to the actual sorting column, you
most likely want to make sure that higher up in that submenu, it's
checked that you want to sort them based on received.

To all Listers:
I use Windows Mail for my emails. In my Inbox, all of the email
messages are arranged by attachments first, and not in order of most
recent date first. In the menu for sorting out the messages, the
Descending option is checked. How can I change this to having all of
my messages in order of most recent messages being at the top?
