Thank you for your offer here. I have that WLM prior version from the most 
current one waiting in the wings, but think I'm going to give the Window's mail 
a go first, since this computer already has the Window's service pack 1 
installed.

Then if that causes me to pull out my hair, I'll mosey  onto Outlook 2003, 
after that, I will run kicking and screaming back to Outlook Express! smiles

There is a Windows Mail in Program Files on Windows 7 but it is not active.
I have an archive include reg files and instruction to make it active. If 
you want to use Windows Mail on Windows 7, I will send it to you. I get it 
from another mailing list.
