What we really need is somebody who has that brand of lap top to chime in 
here. I agree though but the thing is there are so many models of lap top 
it's hard to say for example I have a Lenovo which no doubt is quite 
different than the model Thomas owns.

It might also be that there is a row of buttons above the function keys.
>From what I know of keyboards to get the function keys to do something else
there is usually a key you have to use in conjunction with them. I believe
it is called the FN key but not one hundred percent sure.
