Desiree:

Tomorrow when I get back to work I will run hotspotshield then run the
program and see what happens.
Earlier when I mentioned the example of playing a game with others on a
server, I was talking something like quentinc-playroom or rs games.
I am not saying this is what I do at work, again, I would like to know how
to get around this crap where I cannot access certain sservers/sites etc.
I have a website where I like to upload new content when available but when
I attempt to access the server to upload the files, I am unable to connect.
Other examples are when I go to http://www.jaws-users.com/ I get a cannot
display the webpage message. Even when I go to my own website I get that
message.
When I was googling hotspot shield, every link I clicked on I received that
same message. I would find it hard to believe that there might be other
problems such as the page could be underconstruction or temporarily down
when I visited those same places a short time later from home and viola
there they were.
I could talk to the network administrator at work but been there and done
that and no go. I mean if I need to do research on a student, how in the
world can it be done when everywhere I go is blocked.
Anyways, I will try the hotspotshield and then I will try your suggestion.
Thanks.

Hi,
Accessing programs might be a little tricky once you've connected to Hot
Spot Shield. For example, I could not use AIM when the shield was running. I
guess it wouldn't connect to the AOL server. So what I had to do was connect
Aim and then run Hot Spot Shield. As far as unblocking websites goes, it
works like a charm, although I haven't had to use it in quite some time.
If for whatever reason it doesn't work for you, you can try another similar
program called Ultra Surf. It's free and a google search should turn up a
download link.
