Hi Margaret,
I haven't tried it out yet, for accessibility, but the website says it will
work on both 32 and 64 bit versions.
Since you have a more recent version of Jaws, maybe you should give it a
try.
I have found that some software may yield very good results on
some systems with Jaws, and not on others, so the best thing to do, is to
try it on your own system.
On the paid version, you get a 30-day trial, and since you already have a
license, perhaps you might get a better price than the $24.95.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Replacement for ShortKeys Lite for Use on
Windows7

Hi All,

Has anyone found a replacement for ShortKeys Lite that is accessible with
JAWS 12 and 13 and that will work on 64 bit Windows 7? I have a note that
the free utility many of us enjoyed on XP was put out by Insight Software.
It looks like the company has ShortKeys 3 that isn’t free that will run on
Windows 7. I liked the Lite version so much that I purchased ShortKeys 2,
or whatever the paid version was at the time, but found it didn’t play
nicely with whatever version of JAWS I was using back then, so am a bit
reluctant to spend time trying out the latest incarnation of the paid
version.

ShortKeys Lite is a key extender where, for example, one can type ^st and
one’s full street address will appear instead of having to manually type the
whole thing. There are a bunch of other uses and I miss not having it on
the Win 7 machine, but, as far as I can make out, it isn’t compatible with
Win 7.

I’d cheerfully pay for something similar that is accessible on the new
computer.

Thank you,

Margaret
