Hi Cathy,
I used the JAWS cursor a couple of times setting the settings the way I
like them. After that I have things set up so that when I open the program
it is on the profile I created. I use the scan short cut key to start
scanning. Once I am done scanning I use the OCR short cut key. It then asks
for a file name and you can choose where to save the file. Then press enter
on OK, and wait for it to finish. I have mine set up to open the scanned
file in MS Word. You can change this if you like. I am glad to answer any
questions I can about the software.

God bless,
Mark

Mark,

Is it Jaws friendly as far as the software?

Kathy

Hi Cathy,
I would highly recommend any of the HP scanners. Because I use mine to
scan textbooks, I go with a business scanner that cost me just over $900 US.
However their lower cost scanners work well for normal day to day scanning.
Also, if one installs the full scanner software it normally comes with a OCR
program called HP document scan. This is what I use to scan my textbooks for
class. So this is a cost savings over other systems.

God bless,
Mark
