I successfully remove carriage returns similar to
the link here, however, the double carriage
return only worked on the very end of the
document. Doing this does remove it but requires
you go back and put in the returns you actually
want in there. This might be helpful in some
cases, but this is about the closest we might
get. Hope it works for you. I'll try it on some
other documents. The one I tried was pasted from
a PDF. Perhaps better luck with web pastes.

Thanks William. Though such a program would also
remove desired carriage returns, it sure would
be handy. I haven't found anything out there the
last time I searched, but if I find anything
I'll post it here. CSS would be a web solution
but not any other situations I guess.
