Hi mark,
Many thanks, that's good to know. I had purchased a hard cover book via
Amazon which I needed for a church discussion group with the plan to scan
and read via openbook, only to lose it before I even left the building.
Being on a time deadline, I was panicking at the thought of a Kindle
download and struggling to deal with a bawky app. The good news is that God
was with me--the secretary had intercepted it and put it aside waiting to be
claimed, so now I can wait to deal with Kindle when and if I actually have
time to play with it.

Hi
There was a link going around where one could down load a screen reader
friendly version. I installed it, and it worked alright on the free down
load books. However, I could never get it to complete the process to buy a
book.
God bless,
Mark

Subject: [Blind-Computing] accessibility of Kindle
Hi everyone,
Just wondering about the current state of accessibility of the Kindle app.
Is there any way to read a Kindle book within JAWS or convert it for use
with an OCR? I assume not but thought it was worth asking. Thanks.
Susan
