[Blind-Computing] USB and Braille Embosser

I have a client with a VersaPoint Duo braille embosser and am wondering if 
anyone has experience with somehow converting it to be usable with USB instead 
of parallel connection. The person it belongs to is not wanting to replace an 
old desktop and wondering if it will be usable with a laptop which only has 
USB. Are there embossers which use USB connectors or how does a person work 
around this?
