I think the next step may be to see if I can find a sighted person who can
see what is going on here. Will take a little time since no computer
literate folk readily available. This computer stuff gets real frustrating
sometimes just figuring everything out. Never had any real training of any
kind so mostly muddling through.

While I appreciate the fact that this worked for you, I am very disappointed
with your command to everybody to go slowly and take our time. This implies
that I am doing something wrong. It does not foster an environment of
learning and experiencing. I do admit that my computer knowledge is limited.
However, when I have done everything as instructed and it simply does not
work for me, that is not a factor of taking my time and being careful. I
really wanted to learn about extracting a zip file. I really wanted to learn
about the experience of computer gaming as other sighted people do. I have
not accomplished either goal and in fact feel that I am clogging the list
and being a bother! So, I guess there is no point in continuing to try to
accomplish this when only frustration is occurring. I'll live life just fine
without playing a game.

OK since there seems to be a problem I took a look at this game. First I
decompressed the zip archive in to a directory of the same name as the file.
Then I opened it up and found two files and a directory in there.
The directory or folder which ever term you like is called data. The file
you need to enter on is "dcd_cpp.exe". Lastly there is a readme file which I
imagine contains any instructions.
Go slowly and take your time everybody and I'm sure it will become clear to
all in the fullness of time. I like that saying, but I digress.

I unzipped the file to a flash drive and I had three names.
The data folder, a file with a bunch of letters and numbers which is the
file you want and the readme text file.

I never get a second file with letters and numbers. I extracted dcd_cpp and
the result in Game folder is Data and ReadMe. I looked in Data and see
nothing to indicate dcd20w.exe In data is what seems to be just wav files.

I am still confused. I have tried letting the extraction go into the folder
suggested by the computer. I have tried creating a New Folder in the root
directory of my D drive called games. Each time, I get the same three items.
Data, one with dcd and letters, and a readme file. Can somebody send me a
copy of the Extracted files or tell me what to try next?

Make sure that you extract into its own folder, not your root folder.
You must designate a folder when you begin the unzipping. Your root folder
probably will not allow a file to be copied to it.
