Leave the list like it is David. I got an e-mail where Lenny used the method
I described in a post today and it did work beautifully. I like it replying
to the list and can go private when appropriate.
Just my opinion.

I can set the list to reply directly to the person posting but it's an
either or kind of a deal. It can't be done on the fly so to speak.

I think what Mr. Farren has to do is, put a link on his list emails as I
have this on some other lists that allows you to email someone either
privately or to the entire group.

Well as you probably have already noticed it did not go directly to David. I
can't get it to work either.

David,
I used the Insert-Shift -R command to respond to this message.
Are you saying that this command no longer works with Jaws 13?
If so, there may be an alternative key set for this purpose.

Hello there;
First;
In order to use the reply privately,
Yu need to enter on the message,
Then press the shift+insert+r.
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work anymore.
If you want to get someone's email from a message, So you can email them
privately, Do the following; 1, enter on the message, 2, Now press,
Alt+#1 twice quickly,
Now find the person's email address,
Select the text, then copy to the clipboard, Now when you create a new
message, Just paste from the clipboard in the to field.

Perhaps you need to be in the message itself?

It doesn't work for me either.
I'm using the Thunderbird email program and Windows 7.

Hi Lenny,
Try using keyboard help& see what that says for the insert, shift, +
R, keystroke. As far I know this is the keystroke to reply directly
to sender in both Windows7& XP, at least it does on both my Windows7&
XP systems.
Take care.

Hi Lennie,
The keystroke, insert, shift, + R, works most of the time. I say
most of
the time because sometimes you have to do it 3 or 4 times! LOL
LOL
This keystroke is for Jaws 10 versions& newer. Hope this helps. Take
care.

Is there anyway to reply privately to a post? I think I tried every
keystroke and was unsuccessful. even the application key would not
allow me
to do a private reply. The only way that I found was to go to the
message
source and find the email address and copy it.
