I knew that so no apology is required. I can honestly say though that there
are some parts in that manual that gave me the desire to open up a bottle
and have a drink. Oh the main sections are fine but when they start getting
in to the geometry of drives ETC I thought they have got to be kidding.

Fortunately for us all we pretty much need are the operating instructions
and as such don't need to get in to the engineering end of things.

Sorry David, I was not at all directing my comments towards you, I thought
it was clear I was suggesting the person be a little proactive in terms of
how he or she is protecting his/her information. Just a tip for the person,
if he or she doesn't want to read what he or she might deem extraneous
information in manuals and such, when in each dialogue during the image
process, if the person presses enter on help, he or she will get help for
all options in that dialogue he or she is in.

Ultimately it is a personal choice by who ever is performing the backup. So
far as fumbling around as you mentioned I have never done such a thing. I
know how to use the program, oh and BTW I did read the manual quite some
time ago.

Hi David,

The person wanting to use this utility should really consider reading the
manual, or at least the help files. There is also great how-to info and
how-to videos on the Terabyte website. We're talking about making an image
to protect your important information, why not learn as much as possible
about this process rather than fumbling around hoping you've backed up your
information properly.

I meant burn the image to DVD during the creation process. You can't do
anything with it from an external drive except trash it or have somebody
help you use it to reload your system. I suggest you listen to my three part
series on the program.
