Lauren, I think I tried that, but will try again just in case I didn't. It is a
new labtop so I don't have any music on it yet. I put a couple mp3's on a thumb
drive to check them out. I know the songs are good because they play on the old
computer.

  HI Lois,

Lauren writing off list from BlindTech.

Regarding playing MP3 files in Winamp, try this:
  1. Highlight the MP3 file.
  2. press the Windows context menu key or press shift f10 then down arrow to
Open with and either press enter or press right arrow.
  3. Up arrow to "Choose default program..." and press enter.
  4. Winamp will probably be selected, but if it is not simply press the
letter W repeatedly or arrow around until you find it and highlight it.
  5. Tab once and you will be at a checkbox where you can configure Winamp to
always play MP3 files. Make sure this checkbox is checked.
  6. Tab to Ok and press enter.
  7. Test the setting by finding an MP3 file within Windows Explorer and
pressing enter on it. Winamp should play the file.

I am using win7, and downloaded winamp 563. I installed it and can't get it
to play mp3 files. It has been so long since I installed winamp that I must
have done something wrong. Can anyone help me?
