Hi Tom, Here is a brief description of the system tray:
The system tray is an area of windows that shows icons for running programs that don't have open windows. This way, if it's a program you might need to access, such as the volume control, you can have access to it without a window getting in your way and taking more memory. Very handy. The system tray is accessed with the, Insert + F11, keystroke. Hope this helps. Take care. Hi Mike, If Jaws is running from the system tray, then the insert + J keystroke will bring up a context menu of options. If Jaws is not running from the system tray, then the keystroke insert + J will place the focus on the Jaws application window. Hi Tom, Yes, the 0 key doubles as the insert key with the num-lock off. The insert + J keystroke only works if you are running Jaws from the system tray. Are you running Jaws from the system tray? If you Alt + tab & come across a Jaws window, Jaws is not running in the system tray. Take care.
