Hi Stephanie, Actually, I believe you have to manually enter the dollar amount from the keypad. Doubt that we will have access to hand writing at the computer anytime soon, since OCR technology isn't perfect for type written characters. Hello all, When my husband goes to the ATM machine, he deposits hand-written checks and the machine proceeds to spit out a receipt with the correct dollar amount printed on it. This tells me that there must be a way for blind professionals to read a form or check with hand-written material, somehow. There are various assistive devices and technology that can read printed material, such as the ATM receipt. So, has anyone heard of a way for blind people to read a hand-written check at home or in the office?
