Here is my attempt to squash some inaccurate information! The screen shot shown below is the root directory on one of my cartridges like those used by the Library of Congress for their Digital Talking Book Machines!
You will notice that there is no sub folder and there is a mixture of .wav and .mp3 files. All of these files play properly, one after the other, on my current Digital Talking Book Machine as loaned to me by the Library of Congress Talking Book program. ~~~~~~ Begin screen shot ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ G:\ File Edit View Favorites Tools Help Back Search Folders Address G:\ Go Name Size Type Modified 001Horse Whisperer The.mp3 79,115 KB MP3 Format Sound 10/27/2012 6:32 PM 002FlushIt.wav 1,422 KB Wave Sound 2/16/2010 10:41 PM 003Papillon.mp3 201,397 KB MP3 Format Sound 10/27/2012 6:49 PM 004FlushIt.wav 1,422 KB Wave Sound 2/16/2010 10:41 PM 01TrueGritBook.mp3 44,017 KB MP3 Format Sound 12/29/2011 6:11 PM 02FlushIt.wav 1,422 KB Wave Sound 2/16/2010 10:41 PM 03TrueGrit.mp3 121,182 KB MP3 Format Sound 4/19/2009 5:37 PM 04FlushIt.wav 1,422 KB Wave Sound 2/16/2010 10:41 PM 05True Grit (2010).mp3 103,306 KB MP3 Format Sound 10/26/2011 6:38 PM 06FlushIt.wav 1,422 KB Wave Sound 2/16/2010 10:41 PM 09Maltese Falcon.mp3 47,124 KB MP3 Format Sound 4/19/2009 7:36 PM 10FlushIt.wav 1,422 KB Wave Sound 2/16/2010 10:41 PM 17Lonesome Dove Part 1 (1989).mp3 87,479 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 12:59 PM 19Lonesome Dove Part 2 (1989).mp3 83,226 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 1:53 PM 21Lonesome Dove Part 3 (1989).mp3 86,753 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 2:00 PM 23Lonesome Dove Part 4 (1989).mp3 86,807 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 2:05 PM 24FlushIt.wav 1,422 KB Wave Sound 2/16/2010 10:41 PM Return to Lonesome Dove Part 1-.mp3 129,230 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 9:00 PM Return To Lonesome Dove Part 2-.mp3 124,963 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 9:02 PM Return to Lonesome Dove Part 3-.mp3 120,794 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 9:05 PM Return to Lonesome Dove Part 4-.mp3 110,186 KB MP3 Format Sound 2/10/2012 9:06 PM 1 object(s) selected 107 MB My Computer ~~~~~~ End screen shot ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ hth Bob ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jo Luland" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 19, 2013 10:23 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] How do I save andcopymusic filesand otherfiles to A USB Flash Drive? Hi, You need to create a folder named "audio+podcasts" without the quotes. Place it in your dtb folder on the flash drive. The name of the folder must be exactly as written with a plus sign and not the word plus. Good luck!
