I can say as someone who used Xp for probably longer than I should have done, I
am not disappointed with Windows 10, which is odd because I was less keen on
windows 7 :D.

Still with classic shell to get the xp style start menu and C cleaner to remove
the stuff I didn’t want (something I had to equally do with new xp machines
back in the day), I really haven’t had to alter what I do too much, accept now
I can enjoy all available audiogames, indeed I suspect for gaming purposes
these days there are probably more games that won’t run on xp than on windows
10.

My only major regret with lack of Xp are the dos style console games like
Fallthru, eamon deluxe etc, and I have heard there are now talking versions of
Dosbox that can go some way to solving those, indeed I do hope the eamon deluxe
developer gets back to me at some point in the future since we finally might
have that accessible cross platform version of the games we’ve been wanting for
years.

All the best,

Dark.

I can totally respect that, but please understand that developers don’t want to
support an out of date operating system.
XP support is long over, so at least from my perspective I don’t feel obligated
to still support it.

Hi Justin,
In my case at least, its more a situation of having xp machines in addition to
newer systems, and wanting to use them for offline
things like audiogames.

Simple solution: don't run Windows XP and update to Windows 7-if for
no other reason than XP has security issues that Microsoft will not
address, owing to them no longer supporting that particular operating
system.
