First, no idea on Sapi, but if you hit f3 you should switch to screen reader mode, I believe people have used the game with Jaws but I can't say much about that myself since I've only ever played with Sapi or NVda.

As to the beeps well I explain this in my guide, but the short version isĀ  that you have the identification beam which shows you what is immediately in front of your ship, ans the sound of ship engines flying past, plus the occasional assending squeak when an enemy ship enters the area. You will also sometimes hear a station beacon ahead which is a handy reference for finding freeports where you can trade minerals and gasses.

If you start out with the worm class ship, whih is what I recommend at the beginning this is all you'll need to worry about.

There is hten the radar which immmits honking sounds from front and left to front and right and shows yousmall objects around your ship, but the worm doesn't come with this by default you have to buy it at a station which gives you chance to get used to flying around first.

Later on when you upgrade your ship to something that can engage in combat, you will hear the sound of other ships firing at you, the beacon to show whether they're ahead or behind, and the identification beam will change to a higher pitched to show when you can fire at them.

Hth.

All the best,

Dark.
