Hi chris.
I haven't played manamon 2 much yet, but there is a way to run two
instances of manamon 1 at the same time on your computer, and so trade
manamon between them, which can get you the ones like Mortrex who you
need to trade for to get them to evolve. see this guide on the

You could also theoretically start a second instance, and play through
the game long enough to get to the second stadium with each of the two
starters you don't have, though I was lucky enough to find someone who
could trade me two level 1 starters last year.
Btw, I would offer to trade myself, accept that Manamon 1's trading
process and all the connection nonsense was a nightmare to get to work
the one time I tried it, and I haven't really got far enough in MAnamon
2 to make a difference, though with that game I do believe more people
are still trading going by posts on the audiogames.net forum.
