By default, your system's audio should automatically switch over to the headset when you plug it in.
If it doesn't, you may be able to force your screen reader to
continue playing through your speakers even when the headset is
plugged in, by changing the audio device it uses. I can't tell you
how to do this with Jaws (or even if it's possible), but for NVDA,
there's a list of all sound devices in the synthesizer selection
dialog.
Hid e to my fellow gamers.
I’m attempting to install Jim Kitchen’s games.
The path that I have is as follows:
C:\program files (x86)\games for the blind\Jim Kitchen’s games
Then the game I’m working on is the trucker game.
The error message that I receive when I tell the unzipper to unzip the program into the trucker folder is as follows:
Can’t creat output file.
Now why am I receiving this error message and how can I fix it to unzio the games into their folders?
Also, I have for now a USB corded headset.
When I go to plug it into the tower, I lose my output via my speakers.
So, in short, I can’t tell what I’m doing, unless I unplug the headset.
How can I fix this as well.
I probably will need to purchase another cordless headset with a boom mic on it.
Any recommendations for a stereo gaming and flight simulator headset will be deeply appreciated.
Many thanks.
Ron
