This is one of the many reasons FSX is no longer on my system. I found it too annoying losing sound when switching between the various windows I have open. P3d solved all that. FSX has an annoying limitation where audio mutes when you're not in the window. To get around this you need to purchase an addon from flight1 called SoundStream.
