Itch.io is my prefered game platform too. No nonsense like a game client that has to be running when you play your game. I didn't mind needing to use it to download the game because it did it in the background, but once the game was downloaded and installed, I would rather exit the client before launching the game. Games are demanding enough on your computer's resources. Why add to the problem with an unneccessary downloader being in memory? Thankfully itch.io doesn't do that. The minute they do, I'm gone.
