Hi, Thomas. Actually, the Obsidian engine and level design software is being used to develop Max. The problem is that it's not really accessible via speech.
I considered writing an engine/editor combination for Max originally like I did with ESP Pinball (whose editor was based on the Monkey Business beta editor) and Monkey Business, but figured why not generalize it so that it's more flexible and really get all the mileage I can out of the development system? So, multi-player, input device abstractions, physics, shortest-path algorithm, group and team control, and plug-in support is all there. - James -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Thomas Ward Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2006 5:03 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: audyssey: Fw: 2006 update As much as I would like to get my hands on Obsidian to try it I know you would have x number of angry customers coming to your door hoping to put your head on the chopping block. Wack! Thump! The smart thing to do is to finish Max and then think about working on releasing Obsidian. Grin.
