Hello everyone,
There was a question as to how I played Final Fantasy X mostly alone. I shall
now offer an answer. It's actually not that complicated. Firstly, all the
important characters in the game have fully recorded dialogue, and all the
unimportant ones are... well... unimportant. Second, the areas in the game
aren't difficult to navigate. There is never any jumping or things of that
nature, and there are several different walking sounds to let you know what
kind of terrain you're on. Beyond that, it's as simple as memorizing combat
menus and things. The only two things I required help with were the Sphere
Grid, which is the system used for making your characters more powerful, and
certain events known as the Cloysters of Trials, which are experiences you must
undergo every time you visit one of the game's temples. Everything else in the
game was no problem. None at all.
In other news, thanks to me, we may soon be joined on this list by Brice Melon,
the very subject of yesterday's article. I have been in an email conversation
with him over the past two days, and I have enlightened him as to the existence
of us, the blind gaming community. We shall see, ladies and gentlemen. (grin)
Sincerely,
Brandon
