Yes and no. As you may or may not know, the Eamon series was a series of D and D like text adventures origianlly designed, way back when in the 80s, for the Apple 2e. Various attempts have been made to update them to be playable on windows computers, but none of them accessible yet. For a while, Adora Entertainment advertised that they were going to do an accessible, 3D audio, version of the adventures for windows, but that project appears to have come to a hault, I'm not sure why, and I didn't see anything on the new Draconis site stating that they were planning on picking it up again. They may in the future, but there's no word to that effect yet although it couldn't hurt to ask. I'm going to.
Currently, the only two ways to play Eamon on a PC are to get something called an Apple 2e emulator or to download the Eamon Delux bundle, which is the adventures made playable in Dos. Now, I assume that, in theory, you could get the emulator and run one of the old Apple speech programs on it to play the games, although I've never tried this so I have no idea if it would actually work. I don't know if you could even get those speech programs anymore. AS for the Eamon Delux, I did try it. But I found that Jaws and MS Dos mode didn't get along very well, so it was very hard to navigate the menues to get into the game itself. I may try it again though. Hope that helps somewhat. ----- Original Message ----- From: "allan thompson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 22, 2006 1:30 PM Subject: Re: audyssey: Hello > Hi, > I was under the impression that Super Liam was a side scroller action > game. > I would call chillingham more of an interactive fiction game, with some > action elements. > Except for The last crusade I don't know of any others out there at the > moment.
