Hi Phil and all.

Absolutely agree.  One of the best things I did for my crummy old laptop is
to buy one of those rollup keyboards.  I find I really hate about 90 percent
of laptop keyboards for one reason or another and these things do not cost
that much and they go right in the laptop bag.  In fact I may put the demo
on my laptop just for giggles.

Ever heard of plugging in a regular keyboard to your laptop?
I think you can get one for $5 to $10.
 I did that for years until I got a desktop computer.
