ok all, time to let everyone know exactly what's going to happen next for
the list.
firstly, we are going back to the old set up of one overall owner, with 2
moderators handling the list. none of the moderators will be owners. so who
is going? who is staying? who is joining? ...
after discussing the situation with brenda yesterday, she has decided of her
own free will, to step down from both ownership and moderator at the end of
the month. i have decided to stay on, but as the sole list owner, i will not
be handling the day-to-day moderation of the list from that point on. this
change will happen then because i'm away for ten days from tomorrow.
the 2 new moderators, who will handle the daily list activities are going to
be: thomas ward and Raul A. Gallegos. Tom we all know as he's been a long
time list member and developer. raul is new to the list, but i know him well
from several other lists. i hope everyone welcomes them to their new roles
and, try and make their job an easy one! *smiles*. they will take over later
today. thank you to everyone who showed interest in the position.
due to time constraints, it's unlikely the list guidelines will be updated
before they go out again on the 1st of march. they need updating with the
new complaints proceedure and a couple of other changes also which i doubt
i'll have time to discuss properly with raul and tom before i go.
so let's move this community forward and put the rather volatile history
behind us shall we?
