Hi gang. Just a friendly reminder to all of you that especially if
replying to a thread and only including one line replies please, please
trim the message down so that only the message you are replying to is
visible. I've recently been reading one-liner replies to messages which
is fine however the entire message was about 900 lines due to the fact
that every single yahoogroup notice, instructions, previous poster
message, etc was included.
Just because most of us may have broadband and it does not make a
difference in bandwidth remember that not everyone in the world has
broadband. Further more, some even have to pay for bandwidth and/or time
online and if you are on dialup, downloading a 900 line message vs a 30
line message over time can make a huge difference in how much time one
spends downloading.
Let's face it, when we reply to a long thread and our reply consists of
one line are we really reading the original message left by someone else
or even us 6 messages ago? We really do not need to include that much
quoting.
I'm not saying not to quote. In fact, I could care less if you top quote
or bottom quote but really folks, we should at least only quote the one
and only one message we are replying to.
Many thanks.
