google groups is an option you could consider.  I know the e-mail program, 
gmail, seems to work great and filter out all my spam. I've had better luck 
with them than about anybody as far as that's concerned...it filters out 
99.9 percent of spam.  My girlfriend and fiance Robyn says that she used 
people pc and netzero (dial up isps) before and they don't filter out spam 
well at all im comparison.  So I thought google groups might be a good 
suggestion and maybe it'd give you moderators more control as well.
