Hi Tom.  I'm the one who started this thread.  I didn't know that about 
computer mics.  How much voltage do they use.  Could I run it from the 
phantom power in my mixer?  Some how I doubt that, If I remember correctly, 
phantom power is 40 volts.  There's not that much voltage anywhere in a 
computer, unless they generate it from an inverter.  Seems unlikely.  How 
much voltage do these mics need.  Is it applied from the ring to the sleeve?
