With the cost of some lawn maintenance equipment well into several thousand of dollars, many people as well as companies that do landscaping and lawn care will and do have their equipment repaired have had a landscaping business owner as well as loggers tell me that they operate the equipment all day long and sure as hell, don't want to come home and have to work on it all night also.
In the small town I live in, a man opened a repair shop and now he has expanded to the point that he sells equipment as well as repairs it. I was skeptical that he would make a go of it, trying to compete with Lowes ect. but he is a good mechanic as well as a salesman and if someone brings a piece of equipment into him to work on and it is worn out, he usually ends up selling the customer a new machine, just because of his after sales service and reputation of being a honest and knowledgeable in his field. So, if you know how to fix things, be them small engine category items, or anything else and you do what you do well, there is a market for your services.
