By the look of it, once in the CNIB digital library and once one gets a username and password one can download it directly to a computer or access it on line as you prefer without waiting for it to come up on your list or be sent through the mail!
I am excited to try this. This brings up another thought. Several years ago there was a group who thought they would archive and share books they had scanned. Eventually they were convinced to leave it while BookShare was set up. Well BookShare is out there but many of us, all non-Americans don't have access to it. Of course this has to do with the very copyright issues which make copying such material against the law. Maybe it is now time to revive something like a peer-to-peer network or other device for increasing access to current print materials. Many people are scanning stuff all the time and it seems such a shame to me that all that work has to be duplicated over and over. I look forward to hearing what people may think.
