I get the picture. I like this idea and I think I will try to build me one. only question I have is once you build the sled there is no slot for the blade. So do you just run it through the saw and cut through the plywood and then move the sled forward enough to line the blade up with your board to be cut? Also I assume that you would just need to raise the blade enough to acount for the plywood on the bottom of the sled and the piece to be cut.
Oh one more thing I think you said to make the trof about 12 inches from front to back and as wide as you want. for an 8 foot board do you think that about 3 feet would suffice? or would you go more or less?
