Your dried blood meal must be a hell of a lot different to that which Kiwis put 
on their
gardens.  If you want your garden dug over roughly, just spread some dried 
blood, and
voila!  the job is done!

Hay, one foxy lady, try this.
Dried blood meal.  It sounds a little gruesome, but it's quite effective in
deterring pesty animals.  Dried blood meal is a by-product of the
meat-packing
industry and can be found in any gardening center.  Sprinkle some around the
outside edges of your porch.They don't like the smell, and will usually stay
away.  The dried blood meal will have to be reapplied after every rain
shower.
