Tom, first of all there are days I wish I was back in nettamer and if
my wife read your post she would say she might feel better that someone
else speaks loudly to the" spirts of the sewer". what you have done is
opened up a " can of worms" like dammed if you do or dammed if you
don't. I did what you are doing now, just three years ago and ended up
going all the way back to actually getting a new insert , basket and
all. then I heard we should have called a plumber. more bad silent
words. I'll hear it again as Santa Calus is bringing me a high neck
two handled kitchen facut, maybe a Delta, I dunno. but while that is
apart I can fix the back of the sink , flashing I think it is called or
back splash, with a bit of fiber glass. blind or not, when we start
taking apart older plumbing one thing leads to another. Just be glad Tom
you did not use one of those aresol pressure cans to blow the drain
free. You would have had dirty sink water all over the kitchen. good
