Hi. I know a guy who has full vision and just got the ends of 3 fingers cut off in the dado blade of a table saw. It went down to the first knuckle below the finger nail. He has used one of these saws for years and is very experienced with them. It is a very nasty injury and it is healing as well as can be expected. This just goes to show you that anyone can get hurt if not careful and respectful of the tools. Know and respect your tools and don't take chances. I have been using all types of saws and machines for over 40 years and still have all of my fingers. I always double check the position of my hands before I turn the tool on. With table saws, I always use push sticks if my hands will be inside the miter slots toward the blade. There are many ways to keep ourselves working safely. BTW, most of the people that I know who have been injured with power tools are fully sighted. So, keep on working and be safe out there. ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message.
