You shouldn't use white for one of the travelers. White is typically used to indicate neutral -- the line leading back to the service panel. Don't use green neither because that's the color for ground. The red is fine, you might consider using blue, yellow or orange for the other traveler.
Otherwise, you've got the idea pretty well in hand. The connectors on the 3-pole switches will be color coded to indicate the type of connector; the two traveler connectors will be the same color and the "odd ball" colored connector will be for the "hot" or neutral. ---------------- Bill Gallik E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - "Maturity is a bitter disappointment for which no remedy exists, unless laughter can be said to remedy anything." - Kurt Vonnegut To listen to the show archives go to link http://acbradio.org/handyman.html or ftp://ftp.acbradio.org/acbradio-archives/handyman/ The Pod Cast address for the Blind Handy Man Show is. http://www.acbradio.org/news/xml/podcast.php?pgm=saturday The Pod Cast address for the Cooking In The Dark Show is. http://www.gcast.com/u/cookingindark/main.xml Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the Blind Handy Man list just send a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
