Hey Lenny,

Glad you pulled the saw out! Nothing like a new saw. The world is a
piece of lumber waiting to be cut! A good new saw blade will cost
between $50 and $80 and all will be good.

. Congratulations on a good deal.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] my new saw

Hi All,
I am very impressed with the new saw, except for the blade.
I decided to open it before my son-in-law came over. I didn't need him.
The only assembly was to screw in the locking nob/handle in front. Took
all of 2 minutes.
Making some small cuts I found that they are not as smooth as I would
like. It came equipped with a 60 tooth combination blade. My old 8.25
had a 100 tooth blade. I will be upgrading the blade.
I agree with the reviewer that the lazar is not bright enough for me.
It is designed for a contractor. It has two handles placed for easy
transport.
I did notice that the motor has significant more torque than my old
craftsman saw.
Most of these motors are overrated. It is a 15 amp and is to develop 3
hp. It went through a 1x6 red oak like nothing.
I found a good home for my old saw. A relative who has helped me many
times will be adding it to his collection. The fact that he is sighted
he will have no problem making sure that it is on zero.
