I really don't know how to respond. All I know is what the technician told me. He also said that on the back of the thermostat itself has some lettering where wires are indicated something like G-1 R-1 Y-1 ETC. The thermostat I have don't have wire lettering for the 2 stage to run the furnace correctly.
