Where are your facts on the parenting of the school shooters coming from? I
know you are wrong about the knives and guns in schools. Unless of course
those gun racks they were toting around in their trucks, especially in deer
season, do not count.

By the way, the kid in my neighborhood who defaces signs and park equipment,
and who stole our digital video camera is spanked. He is a bully, thief, and
worse. Then we met his parents and had to wonder how that kid turned out so
well. They acted as if it were our fault that their child had stolen from us.
It is parental and societal values that cause these social problems, not
whether we spank our kids.

Another interesting point here is that my original post did not say anything
about how I disciplined my kids. I just said I wanted to stop the problem
before it occurred rather than getting to it after the water was on and
flooding my super tiny yard. Interestingly, people who actually meet my kids
and spend time with us regularly tell me what pleasant children I have and how
impressed the are with my parenting.

Now, before our moderator blows a gasket in his hurry to tell us to shut up, or
to remove us from the list, lets leave this subject alone. If anyone wants to
debate or otherwise comment further, please write me off line.
