Dan, do you know the folks who will be pointing up your house ? if it
is possible to have someone watch to make sure they wet the bricks
first. otherwise those dry bricks will suck the moisture out of the
cement to fast and that job will not last as long. I've got a Senior
blind friend who will proudly tell you she soaked every brick that
went into their house and garage. in 1951 as a blind Lady she mixed
almost all the cement and soaked and carried all the bricks to a
pulley system her husband set up.. that house has no problems since 1951
except some pointing was needed. a guy gave her a great price and my
son tells me almost all the work done just two years ago looks like a
half assed job . reason being is those bricks were never wet down
prior to the repair or pointing was done. that is just a fyi. Lee
