Most building centers or a good plumbing supply store should be able to put together enough adapters to join a hose of what ever size and thread to a filter of pretty well any size or thread.

What I'd like to do is attach a filter, something like a Britta, to the hose bib on the porch, since the cat does occasionally drink from the dogs' water bowl. I know these are available in models which attach to a kitchen faucet, but presumably, they're threaded differently than a common garden hose thread. Are any of you folks aware of a filter specifically for a hose bib, or, how hard would it be to find an adapter from garden hose to faucet fitting.
