Mike,
Thanks for your thoughts on this. As it happens, I agree with you. Unfortunately, our baby is going to be having a cochlear implant put in very soon. Once that is turned on he will need to see his audiologist and speech therapist a couple of times a week or more for several weeks. After that he will need to see his therapist once a week and will hopefully be unrolled in a pre-school type program to work on his speech needs once a week. There is no way for me to get him there for those things from the city we live in now. We really needed to be moved already. I know I could do an apartment, but with three boys we just do not think it is fair to put them all in a small apartment if we do not have to. A rental might be an option, but we have looked at that. The rentals in that part of the city tend to have about a dozen people apply for each one and the owner picks the best applicant. As we applied for two rentals before we figured out how to finance a house and did not get them, I am not sure we could even find one. Anyway, that is all to say that we really do have to move and can not just wait around until something better comes up. We may not get the house we love, but it is not near a bus line or even near enough to be in what they call zone one of our para transit system. We can not afford the cab fair that I would need to make it to all the stuff i need to get the kids and I out and about. I know myself well enough to know that i would become a hermit as I cut that out of the budget everytime something was a little tight. So we are going to get a house we like for right now that is near a bus line in the part of the city we need to be in. This will mean my husband will then cummute about an hour each way to work every day. We are already making comprimises just by moving to the bigger city. This is about a place to meet all of our needs. Though I am willing to give up being across the street from a bus stop in a great neighborhood that meets all of our needs to not be in a house i find to be boring. Truth to be told, it is the yard. The back yard is on the North side of a two story house and nothing grows back there and I do not think it will. i want to grow tomatoes and stuff in my yard. Apparently other people find the same kind of problems with this house as it has been on the market for several months. Jennifer [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
