Dan,

I don't know of any other way to make those poles stand up
straight unless I welded c/8 steel plates to the bases and
shot bolts into the floor. The floor at that end of the shop
isn't perfectly flat and I might end up with a pole farm if
I attempt to set them on the surface.
You are wright, I have some pretty rare fiber blass custom
body parts, stock bits and pieces of body and interior from
the El Camino, some high end engine components that don't
weigh a whole lot and a few items that I would rather have
completely out of the way and out of sight in the literal
sense.

Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Loft

Larry,

2X6 joists on 24 inch centers sounds a bit light to me.
What are you
planning on storing in this loft, and remember, what you are
planning on
storing up there, and what might find it's way up there, may
be very
different things.

Your chop saw with a wood blade will be helpful for cutting
all the joists
to length.

Are you sure you want to cement the posts in? That is a
pretty perminent
deal.
